 GENESIS   48                                                            JACOB BLESSES JOSEPH’S SONS

1.       What are the names of Joseph’s two sons? (Gen. 48: 1)

        Ans: Manasseh and Ephraim.

2.       What does Jacob tell Joseph about Joseph’s sons in verse 5?

         Ans: “…your two sons, Ephraim, and Manasseh, they shall be mine.

3.       What did Israel assure to Joseph’s sons? (Gen. 48: 3-9)

       Ans: Assured them an equal inheritance to the other sons of Israel.

4.       Which son of Joseph is the firstborn?

          Ans: Manasseh.

5.       Where Rachel was buried? (Gen. 48: 7)

         Ans: Beside the road to Ephrath.

         Ans:  "They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place.

          Ans:  It displeased him; so he took hold of his father's hand to remove it from Ephraim's   head to Manasseh's head. And Joseph said to his father, "Not so, my father, for this one  is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head."

        Ans: younger Ephraim, would be greater than the firstborn Manasseh.

11.   After Israel told Joseph he was going to die, what did he say God would do for Joseph?               (Gen.  48: 21)

          Ans: God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers.
