 Ans: The book of Exodus covers from the death of Joseph to the encampment of the Israelites at Mount Sinai in the Sinai Peninsula.

Ans:  He was born  in the Land of Goshen in Egypt.

Ans: Seventy.

 2. After the death of Joseph, Who came to power in Egypt? (Exo. 1:8)      

 Ans: A new king in Egypt, who did not know Joseph.

Ans: the Israelites have become much too numerous, so if war breaks out, the Israelites  would  join with Egyptian  enemies, fight against them  and leave the country.

Ans: The more the Egyptians afflicted the Israelites , the more they multiplied  and grew.

Ans: “Shiphrah” means “beauty” and “Puah” means “splendid”.

Ans: The midwives answered Pharaoh, "Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive."

Ans: No, his efforts have had the exact opposite effect than intended.  i.e.  “the people multiplied and became very mighty”. (v.20)

 12.    How did God honored and  reward the midwives? (Exo.  1:20-21)

Ans: God honored the midwives because they feared God more than they feared Pharaoh. God  gave them families of their own and they multiplied!

Ans “Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive’.
